OVERVIEW

Welcome to KingMurals. KingMurals is operated by Sam King, a sole trader based in London, United Kingdom. The terms “we”, “us” and “our” throughout this document refer to Sam King trading as KingMurals.

KingMurals operates this website (kingmurals.co.uk), including all related information, content, features, and services in order to provide you with professional mural painting, graffiti art, and signwriting services (the “Services”).

Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully, as they include important information about your legal rights and cover areas such as warranty disclaimers and limitations of liability. By visiting, interacting with or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms & Conditions or Privacy Policy, you should not use or access our Services.

SECTION 1 – QUOTES AND BOOKINGS

When you request a quote through our website or by contacting us directly, you are inquiring about our services. A quote is not a binding contract until both parties have agreed to the terms and a deposit has been paid.

Quote Requests: You agree to provide accurate and complete information about your project, including space dimensions, surface conditions, design requirements, timeline, and budget expectations.

Quote Validity: Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. After this period, we reserve the right to revise pricing based on changes in materials costs or availability.

Acceptance: To accept a quote and book our services, you must provide written confirmation (email is acceptable) and pay the agreed deposit.

Deposits: A deposit (typically 30-50% of the total project cost) is required to secure your booking. Deposits are non-refundable once work has commenced, unless we are unable to fulfill our obligations.

Project Changes: Any changes to the agreed scope of work must be discussed and approved in writing. Additional work may result in revised pricing and timeline.

SECTION 2 – OUR SERVICES

We have made every effort to accurately represent our services and portfolio work on our website. However, please note that colors may appear differently on your screen due to device settings and lighting conditions in photographs.

All custom artwork is unique and hand-painted. While we work closely with you to achieve your vision through design mockups and approvals, final results may have minor variations from digital mockups due to the nature of hand-painted art.

We reserve the right to decline any project at our discretion, including projects that:

  • Involve illegal content or violate intellectual property rights

  • Require work in unsafe conditions

  • Are not feasible within the client’s budget or timeline

  • Conflict with our values or professional standards

SECTION 3 – PROJECT EXECUTION

Timeline: Project timelines provided in quotes are estimates based on typical conditions. Actual completion times may vary due to weather (for exterior work), surface preparation requirements, design complexity, or unforeseen circumstances.

Access: You are responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the work area. Specific access requirements (such as ladders, scaffolding, lighting, or other equipment) will be discussed and agreed upon during the quote process. You must ensure the area is clear of obstructions before work begins.

Surface Preparation: Basic surface cleaning is included in our quotes. Extensive repairs, priming, or preparation may incur additional charges if not included in the original quote.

Design Approval: You will be provided with design mockups for approval before work begins. Once approved and work has commenced, significant design changes may result in additional charges.

Weather Delays: For exterior projects, we cannot guarantee completion dates due to weather conditions. Work may be paused during rain, extreme temperatures, or other conditions that affect paint application and quality.

SECTION 4 – PAYMENT

Payment Terms: Unless otherwise agreed:

  • Deposit: 30-50% due upon booking

  • Progress payment (for large projects): May be required at agreed milestones

  • Final payment: Due upon project completion

Accepted Payment Methods: Bank transfer, cash, or other methods as agreed.

Late Payment: Final payment is due within 7 days of project completion unless otherwise agreed. Late payments may incur interest charges at the statutory rate under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

Pricing: All prices are in GBP (£) and include VAT where applicable. Prices do not include scaffolding hire, specialized surface preparation, or parking permits unless specifically included in the quote.

SECTION 5 – INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Your Rights: Upon full payment, you own the physical artwork created on your property.

Our Rights: We retain intellectual property rights to the designs, concepts, and creative process. This means:

  • We may photograph and use images of completed work for portfolio, marketing, and promotional purposes

  • We may display your project on our website and social media

  • You may not reproduce the design elsewhere without permission

Client-Provided Content: If you provide logos, images, or designs to be incorporated into the artwork, you warrant that you own or have permission to use this content and grant us a license to incorporate it into your project.

Third-Party IP: We will not knowingly reproduce copyrighted characters, logos, or designs without proper licensing. You are responsible for obtaining any necessary permissions or licenses for branded content you request.

SECTION 6 – WARRANTIES AND GUARANTEES

Workmanship: We guarantee our workmanship for 12 months from project completion, subject to reasonable wear and conditions.

Durability: We use high-quality, professional-grade materials designed for longevity. However, artwork lifespan depends on:

  • Location (interior vs. exterior)

  • Weather exposure

  • Surface quality and preparation

  • Maintenance

Exterior Work: Exterior murals typically last 5-10 years with proper surface preparation and suitable weather protection. We cannot guarantee longevity if surfaces deteriorate or if the artwork is not properly maintained.

  • 7-14 days before start: 50% of deposit refunded

  • Less than 7 days before start: Deposit forfeited

  • Once work has commenced: No refunds, payment for work completed is due

By Us: If we must cancel due to circumstances within our control, we will provide a full refund of any deposits paid.

Force Majeure: Neither party is liable for delays or cancellations due to events beyond reasonable control (extreme weather, illness, accidents, etc.).
